Sarah Sims is the Communications Officer for RDS South Central.

Before joining the RDS team, she devised and implemented communications strategies for Hampshire County Council. She has also produced communications for the charity sector, the University of Reading and an academic publishing company.

Her work has always focused on finding clear, straightforward ways of explaining complex information. Examples range from a brief overview of key changes in safeguarding legislation for charities, marketing material for Churchill’s Archive Papers and a guide to help students get on better with their housemates. As a freelance copywriter, she has produced web copy for a variety of commercial clients.

Sarah’s other key interest is education. She has delivered training for community and voluntary organisations and is currently working with people with learning difficulties.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys cycling, film, and singing.
